My research and teaching interests include economic and behavioral analysis of law, empirical legal studies, contract law and theory, and normative ethics and law. Among other things, I have published the books Law, Economics, and Morality (a proposal to integrate deontological constraints into cost-benefit analyses), Law, Psychology, and Morality (an analysis of the legal implications of Kahneman and Tversky's Prospect Theory, and associating it with the distinction between consequentialism and deontological morality), and Behavioral Law and Economics (combining behavioral insights with economic analysis of law). In addition to law and law-and-social-science journals (such as the Journal of Legal Studies, Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, and Law & Social Inquiry), I have published articles in journals in psychology (Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes) and public administration (Public Administration Review). In my studies I collaborate with psychologists, economists, and political scientists.
