יונתן בן-דב מהחוג למקרא באוניברסיטת תל אביב. תחומי ההתמחות שלי הם המקרא וספרות בית שני, בתוך ההקשר של הלבנט באלף הראשון לפני הספירה: תחת האימפריות ממסופוטמיה והממלכות ההלניסטיות. אני עוסק במגילות מדבר יהודה, בנוסח המקרא ובספרות האפוקליפטית, ויש לי עניין מיוחד בלוחות שנה ואסטרו נומיה עתיקה. בשנים האחרונות אני עובד על שיפור המהדורות של מגילות מדבר יהודה, תוך דגש על המימד החומרי של המגילות, שאותו אני חוקר גם באמצעים חישוביים כחלק מדעי הרוח הדיגיטליים.

Jonathan Ben-Dov is associate professor of biblical studies at Tel Aviv University (formerly at the University of Haifa). He is a former member of the Israeli Young Academy and a laureate of the Michael Bruno Prize. He studies Judean culture and religion in the first millennium BCE as part of the ancient intellectual life of the region. Among his interests: Dead Sea Scrolls, apocalyptic literature, history of astronomy and time reckoning, history of the biblical text, the prophetical books, Psalms and Job, material culture, as well as digital research in the humanities. He has recently co-authored the volume Material and Digital Reconstruction of Fragmentary Dead Sea Scrolls: The Case of 4Q418a (Brill, 2022) and co-directs a project of digitization of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
